  Mason Goodridge scored 21 points Monday night, the most important number was a much larger one. A senior guard, Goodridge scored his 1,000th career point as the Springville-Griffith Institute boys basketball team took on Starpoint. Starpoint won the game 57-49. Springville’s Sonya Krezmien came home with a fourth-place patch at the Section 6 cross country state qualifier, finishing fourth of 116 girls running in Class C on Friday. The Springville-Griffith Institute cross country teams both competed in sectionals, with the boys placing sixth of 16 teams and the girls were eighth of 18 teams.
