Ellicottville’s biggest event of the ski season is coming next weekend with the annual Winter Carnival and Mardi Gras Parade in the village and at Holiday Valley.

Slip down a slope at HV’s annual Penguin Paddle

Each year, people of all ages don garbage bags and slip down the slope of Yodler like penguins at the annual Penguin Paddle. The event benefits Holiday Valley’s Lounsbury Adaptive Ski Program that serves 200 and 250 disabled clients each season offering ski lessons and equipment to people with all disabilities, both physical and cognitive.
