Meet our team:
Jennie Acklin, owner and managing editor
Jennie lives in the Ellicottville ‘burbs, loves to ride horses year-round, and ski on sunny winter days. She is involved with the EVGV recreational trail, as well as other local events.
Alicia Dziak, editor
Alicia lives in East Concord with her husband and two daughters, who attend SGI’s middle school. She runs SYI’s indoor soccer program, is a coordinator and coach for SYI’s spring soccer program and coaches girls modified soccer for SGI. She is also a PTO member and volunteers at various school and community events.
Colleen Mahoney, editor
Colleen was born and raised on Staten Island, and moved to Springville in 2014. She’s been working in the journalism field for five years as both a reporter and editor, and sits on the board of directors for the Springville area Chamber of Commerce.
Stephanie Timblin, advertising sales and marketing
Stephanie is a lifelong resident of Ellicottville where she lives with her three children, Brett, Dylan, and Jewell. Stephanie has worked in the newspaper industry since age 16. In her free time, she enjoys outdoor sports activities.
Ashlee Oakley, staff writer
Ashlee has lived her entire life in Springville, and is a wife and mother of four children, ages 5-14. She spends her time involving herself in helping the community as SES PTA board secretary, administrator and co-founder of the Be Neighborly Springville Area Facebook group, provider/coordinator of children’s activities during the colder months at Concord Public Library, and is the social media coordinator for Springville Center for the Arts.
