Springville Center for the Arts’ creativity program SPARK is designed to allow children to learn through play. Art supplies, costumes, building blocks, musical instruments and beyond are on hand for endless possibilities.

Materials and tools are within reach, but every child’s journey will be unique. SPARK is lead by Karyn Hanrahan and Claire Wrazin, with guest artists visiting periodically.

SPARK meets on Tuesdays from 10 a.m. to noon and follows the school calendar. It is open to children ages two to school age and is a drop-off program. The current semester runs until Dec. 17 and the cost can be pro-rated for joining mid-semester.

New this fall is a session of after-school SPARK for grades two through five. Six sessions will be starting on Nov. 7 from 4-5:30 p.m. The group will meet every Thursday except Nov. 28 and conclude on Dec. 19. The cost is $42 for members of Springville Center for the Arts and $50 for non-members. Bus passes from Springville Elementary are available to registered students.

SPARK meets at Arts Underground, 66 East Main St., Springville. Registration is available by calling 592-9038 or online at
