Mason Goodridge poured in 41 points, becoming the all-time leading scorer in Springville-Griffith Institute boys basketball history in the process and leading the Griffins to victory over Lackawanna on Thursday.
The Griffins topped Lackawanna, 65-61, avenging a 54-46 road loss from early December. It was first-place Lackawanna’s first loss in ECIC Div. IV league play and moved the Griffins (6-8, 5-3) into a tie for third of eight teams in the division.
Also for SGI, Adam Pruitt added 14 points and five rebounds. Alex Fransisco marked five boards and a team-high seven blocks.
The Griffins will try for two in a row on Friday as they play host to Holland, then host JFK on Monday.
