SCENe (Springville Concord Elder Network) and Healthy Community Alliance are hosting their second annual Age Out Loud celebration next week. This year’s theme—Engage at Every Age—will feature musical entertainment, healthy living information, performances by local entertainers, healthcare vendors and even free horse drawn wagon rides by Collins Draft Horse, Ox and Pony Club.

SCENe director Debbie Hintz explained that May is National Older Americans Month.

“To celebrate older Americans, SCENe (Springville Concord Elder Network), Healthy Community Alliance held an event called Age Out Loud in 2017,” she said.  “It was well received and people asked for it to be put on again.”

Age Out Loud is geared toward those ages 50 and up. “The goal of the Age Out Loud event is to promote ways for seniors to maintain healthy, active lifestyles in our community, along with enjoying time socializing with others,” said Hintz.

Other event highlights will include music by the Mercantile Musicians,  a performance by the Brainstormers, who will be doing a great skit, and Sharon Noecker, who will be doing a Towel Movement Demonstration.

Over 25 vendors and local groups will be available for folks to talk to and explore what is available to them.

The free event will take place on May 30, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Concord Senior Center (40 Commerce Drive, Springville).
