A Civil War reenactor will talk about the life and times of a Union colonel during a presentation at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 29 at the Lucy Bensley Center in Springville.

Mike Lavis, of Blasdell, who reenacts with the 49th New York Volunteer Infantry, will present at the event. He will tell stories from the Civil War to educate attendees about life during the war.

The public is invited to this presentation, which is hosted by the Western New York Civil War Society in conjunction with Echoes Through Time and the Lucy Bensley Center. Presentations are always held on the last Wednesday of each month.

The Lucy Bensley Center is located at 23 N. Buffalo St., Springville. Donations will be accepted for American Battlefield Trust. Light refreshments will be served.
