Fuller marks career-high diving mark in meet at EA

EAST AURORA — On Friday, Dec. 6, the SGI boys swimming and diving team traveled to East Aurora. Overall, the Griffins performed well even though the end of the meet saw a 100-68 loss for the team.

Highlights included Wyatt Fuller performing a career-best on the diving board with a score of 300.45 that has him ranked sixth in New York State, and Blaze Schelble tying for first in the 100 breaststroke. So far, SGI has 12 athletes qualified for post-season competition after only three meets, and continue to look to increase that number of qualifiers.”

Springville 81, Cleveland Hill 21
SPRINGVILLE — On Tuesday, Dec. 3, Springville ended up with an outstanding result by taking victories in all 12 events. Springville only dropped eight points throughout the meet.

Blaze Schelble led the Griffins by being involved in four winning events including the 200 medley relay, 100 butterfly, 100 breaststroke and the 400 freestyle relay. Winning three events were Austin Yetter (200 MR, 200 IM and 200 free relay) and Elliot Emley (200 MR, 50 free, 200 FR). Zach Hughey and Connor Hughey both won an individual event and took part in a winning relay as well. Other individual winners included Wyatt Fuller (diving), Eric Schweickert (200 freestyle) and Christian Safford (500 freestyle).
