What’s happening at the Boston Free Library

There are several ongoing weekly events happening at the Boston Free Library. Call the library at (716) 941-3516 to register or for more information.

Preschool Story Time is Mondays at 10:30 a.m. through Dec. 23. For ages 3-5, there are stories, crafts, games and songs.

Family Story Time is Tuesdays at 6 p.m. through Dec. 17. There is no meeting on Dec. 10. Recommended for children ages 2-7, there are stories, songs, rhymes, crafts and games for the whole family.

Several special activities are in the works for the upcoming month. Call the library to register.

On Saturday, Nov. 30, 10-11 a.m., we will be making Grahm Cracker Houses. Join us for this annual tradition and create your own graham cracker masterpiece. Supplies provided for all pre-registered attendees. All ages welcome, but young children must have an adult to help with this project.

There will be two sessions for this, one at 10 a.m. and another at 11. Please specify which session you are registering for when you call.

On Monday, Dec. 2 from 5-7 p.m., there will be a Census 2020 job information event. Learn about the 2020 Census and the job opportunities available locally. Extra income, flexible hours, weekly pay and paid training. For more information, call 1-855-JOB-2020.

On Saturday, Dec. 7 from 10:30 a.m. to noon, we will be making Holiday Cards and Ornaments. All supplies will be provided for this free, family program. Make your own one-of-a-kind holiday cards or ornaments to send to your friends and family. Open for all ages!

On Thursday, Dec. 12 from 5-6 p.m., we’ll be making Sock Snowmen. Make your own adorable sock snowman just in time for Christmas. All supplies provided for free to pre-registered attendees. All ages welcome!

Finally, on Saturday, Dec. 14 from 11 a.m. to noon, it’s time for Kids Yoga. Enjoy all the wonderful benefits of yoga presented by Blue Sky Wellness at the Boston Free Library. Recommended for ages 3 to 10.
