Thomas and Judith (Wright) Law celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary Oct. 24. They will be honored by their children at a dinner party Nov. 29 at the Legacy Restaurant in Springville.
The couple met while attending Griffith Institute High School. They were married at a candlelight wedding ceremony held at the Springville First United Methodist Church and continue to be active members.
Tom and Judy have resided in Springville for all of their married life. They were blessed with four children: Tracy (John) Kowalske of Orchard Park, Rhonda (Joe) Stephan of Rochester, Mich., Todd (Willeke) Law of Chester Springs, Pa., and Jason (Darcie) Law of Bloomfield Hills, Mich. Their family also includes ten grandchildren, Devin Kowalske-White (Josh White), John Kowalske, Erin Kowalske, Joseph, Aislin Brown (Joel Brown), Leia Stephan, Lauren Law, Elizabeth Law, Avery Law and Gibson Law. They also have two great-grandchildren,
Lillian Kowalske-White and Marshall Seely.
Tom began a career in the local grocery business in 1959, and by 1969, he acquired Charlie’s Delicatessen. After selling the deli in 1991, he began another career as an interior painter and retired in 2018. Judy retired from Springville-Griffith Institute in 2003 after 25 years of employment in the administrative offices and as coordinator of community education. She is still actively employed as a travel hostess with Know How Tours.
