The second annual Rock Autism Music Festival will be back in Ellicottville on Aug. 31, but first, a new golf tournament with the collaboration of Rock Autism and Finnerty’s Tap Room will hit the links.

The inaugural Rock Autism Finnerty’s Golf Classic will kick off Aug. 24, benefitting Rock Autism’s, Inc. and the Rock Autism Music Festival.

Rock Autism has partnered with one of Ellicottville’s hidden gems, Finnerty’s Taproom, who is also a sponsor of Rock Autism, for this tournament. All proceeds from the event will go to the Rock Autism Multi-Media Vocational Program and Rock Autism Music Festival.

Participants will tee off at Elkdale Country Club at 3 p.m. on Aug. 24, but a full day of supporting this great cause is in the works.

Starting at noon, register at Finnerty’s Taproom, where there will be a one-hour open bar prior to golf. Enjoy drinks, lunch and raffles.

Then, head down Route 242 to Elkdale Country Club at 2 p.m. to warm up your swing, practice your putts and visit before the tournament begins.

The tournament is a four-man scramble format that will begin with a 3 p.m. shotgun start.

Following nine holes of golf, head back to Ellicottville for dinner at Finnerty’s Taproom at 6 p.m. as well as the open bar for one hour.

Finally, awards and prizes will be presented at 7:30 p.m. along with dessert.

The cost is $100 per player. Entry fees must be returned to Rock Autism or Finnerty’s Taproom by Aug. 15. One player must be paid in full to hold your foursome’s spot. $400 for a foursome.

To sign up or for more information, email Max Muscato at max@rockautism.org or Billy Finnerty at finnertystaproom@gmail.com.

Finnerty’s Taproom is located at 5 East Washington St., Ellicottville.

The following weekend, return to Ellicottville to continue your support for Rock Autism with the second annual Music Festival.

The Allman Betts Band with Max Muscato, featuring Sonny Muscato, along with Handsome Jack & Edalo, are ready to rock the Enchanted Mountains once again for one epic cause.

Organizers will welcome last year’s attendees and all newcomers for a fun-filled day of live music, art activities and legendary hospitality from some of Ellicottville’s best known establishments, including Villaggio, Finnerty’s, Tim & Bonnie’s Pizza and more.

Of course the iconic Ellicottville Brewing Company will be on tap with Sonnyboi EBC.

Proceeds from the festival benefit Rock Autism music workshops for youth on the autism spectrum and fine arts programs at People Inc, Autism Services of Western New York, The Summit Center and The Autism Center at Oishei Children’s Hospital.

Pre-sale tickets start at $25 and are on sale now at rockautism.org.
