The Thursdays, Downtown free summer concert series continues with indie-rockers The Tins on Aug. 1. The Tins weave captivating harmonic anthems into a sonic fabric laced with threads of 60’s psychedelic pop, static-washed folk, and new-wave art-rock.

Together, keyboardist Mike Santillo, drummer Dave Muntner, guitarist Adam Putzer and bassist Justin John Smith draw listeners into a world crackling with “brilliant pop exuberance” (USA Today).

The Tins debut album, “Life’s a Gas,” was written by the band with producer Joe Blaney (Prince, The Clash). Since then, they have gone on to work with Grammy award-winning producer Ted Young (Kurt Vile, Andrew W.K.), Robby Takac (Goo Goo Dolls) and toured extensively throughout North America.

Lost Boy, from West Valley, will open the concert at 6 p.m.

Thursdays, Downtown is a collaboration between the Village of Springville, Town of Concord and Springville Center for the Arts. Concerts take place at Heritage Park, Factory Street, Springville.
