The Springville-Griffith Institute varsity girls basketball team won emphatically on its Senior Night by a score of 74-18 over the Tonawanda Warriors on Tuesday.

The girls dominated from the start as they jumped out to a 40-10 halftime advantage. The game saw Kenzie Owens bury seven three-point field goals en route to a team-high 27 points. Ivette Lewandowski scored 20 points, Meg Rehrauer was terrific off the bench scoring 12 points and senior Grace Zabawa chipped in 11 points.

Other strong performances were turned in by Rachel  O’Neal, Nyah Solly and Bella Oakley. The team is now 14-5 overall and will look to finish the season with a win as it was set to host JFK Wednesday.
