Mason Goodridge scored more than 30 points for the third consecutive game while leading the Springville-Griffith Institute varsity boys basketball team to its sixth consecutive victory on Monday.
Springville (11-8) defeated Tonawanda, 74-54, as Goodridge scored 34 points with seven steals. A senior guard and the school’s all-time leading scorer, Goodridge is averaging 27 points per game and 33.2 over the Griffins’ current winning streak.
Austin Boies added 15 points and six rebounds for the Griffins and Adam Pruitt had 14 points, seven rebounds and four assists.
For Tonawanda (6-12), Trevin Boling scored 18 points and J.J. Velazquez had 10 points and five rebounds.
Springville was set to visit Cleveland Hill on Thursday night to finish the regular season before Saturday’s seeding meeting will decide the Griffins’ schedule for the Section 6 Class B-1 playoffs.
