The second weekend of U14 Excelsior Cup racing was a bit closer to home for most athletes.

There were two Slaloms, one held at Kissing Bridge in Glenwood and the other held at Buffalo Ski Club.

Mother Nature made for some interesting conditions both days.

There was plenty of snow, which meant a soft track and made it very easy for ruts to form.

Day One Kissing Bridge:
Women: Emily Kloc of Buffalo Ski Club took 6th and Lillian Rauch (BSC) finished 15th.
Men: Kissing Bridge’s Garrett Goetz took home the gold medal. Drew Foley (KB) finished 15th and Kellen Gradwell placed (BSC) 27th.

Day Two Buffalo Ski Club:
Women: Emily Kloc (BSC) took 14th and Lillian Rauch (BSC) finished 18th.
Men: Kellen Gradwell finished 28th.
U21/19/16 athletes traveled to Bristol Mountain in Canandaigua for a total of three Super G’s.

Super G One:
U21/19 Women: Grace Graney (KB) finished with the silver medal.
U21/19 Men: Christian Meyer (BSC) walked away with the gold medal. Aristotle Ninos finished (KB) 24th and Liam Fischer (KB) 25th.
U16 Women: Hannah Goetz took home the gold medal with teammate Sydney Minier right behind with the silver medal. Abigail Fischer (KB) finished 4th.

Super G Two:
U16 Women: Hannah Goetz (KB) once again found herself on top of the podium with a gold medal. Sydney Minier (KB) rounded out the podium taking home the bronze medal.

Super G Three:
U21/19 Women: Grace Graney (KB) finished with the silver medal.
U21/19 Men: Aristotle Ninos (KB) took 16th and Liam Fischer (KB) finished 17th.
U16 Women: Kissing Bridge women swept the podium with Hannah Goetz, Sydney Minier and Abigail Fischer finishing 1st, 2nd and 3rd respectively.
U21/19/16 athletes will head to Lake Placid, New York for the annual Empire State Games presented by Community Bank. U14 athletes will be off preparing for their speed events.

U12/10/8 athletes will kick off their season next weekend at Holiday Valley with a Dual Giant Slalom.
