Varsity Volleyball Stays Strong

Springville Varsity Volleyball continued its winning streak with a strong win against JFK. The team has been working on offensive versatility in practices, and it showed last Thursday with the team’s ability to execute serve receive and free ball plays effectively. The night’s highlights included five kills each from seniors Allie Emmick and Morgan Christ.  Service ace leader was senior Meadow Wittman with an unprecedented 16 service aces.  The defensive leader continues to be senior Devyn Rowe with 18 digs.

On Monday, the girls Springville Volleyball defeated an improving Lackawanna team. The night’s highlights included seven kills each from seniors Allie Emmick and Abby Stressinger.  Service ace leader was Meadow Wittman with yet another unprecedented 17 service aces.  The defensive leader continues to be senior Devyn Rowe with 13 digs.

On Tuesday, the girls came out strong tonight against undefeated Eden volleyball, but struggled against their tough serving and strong pin hitters, defeated in three sets: 25-22, 25-16 and 25-17. The night’s stat leader was senior Meadow Wittman with 5 kills, 8 service aces, and 20 digs.
