Penn Dixie to Attempt World Record On Aug. 25

On Saturday Aug. 25 at 9 a.m., Penn Dixie Fossil Park & Nature Reserve will attempt to set the GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS™ title for the World’s Largest Fossil Dig.

Thousands of guests from around the country will join us to dig for fossils, explore our 54-acre park, and make history in Hamburg. The World’s Largest Fossil Dig is a new GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS™ category and we thank our supporters at Evans Bank, Phillips Lytle LLP, and RP Oak Hill Building Company Inc. for making this possible.

Admission is reduced to $5 per person and includes a commemorative shirt, fossil collecting bag, and all of the amazing Penn Dixie fossils that our guests may collect. No fossil digging experience is necessary as volunteer stewards from several community groups will be on hand to facilitate the dig. We also offer team registration of $40 for teams up to 10 diggers.

Additional dig supporters include Evenhouse Printing LLC, Louie’s Footlong Hot Dogs, Cardinal Inn Bed and Breakfast, and Acara Zucarelli Lenda & Associates.
