What started as two friends painting in their kitchens has grown into over 18 artists meeting every Tuesday and is now known as the group “Tuesday Holland Painters.” A collection of their work will be on display in the Harold L. Olmsted gallery inside Springville Center for the Arts through April 14.
After the expansion of so many artists, Holland, N.Y. residents Debbie Radford and Debbie Richter arranged to move their growing group out of the kitchen to the Holland Methodist Church, where they currently meet. During warm weather they enjoy getting out to paint Plein Air. Artists who will be exhibiting include Deborah Radford, Deborah Richter, Sarah Tobin, Susan Rudnicky, Suzanne Borowicz, Sarah Smith, Susan Somerville, Linda Hall, Kathy McDonnell, Peggy Walker, Joan Burke, Nancy Palmer Miess, Sharon Fundalinski, Kathy Pisaro, Jennifer Parsons, Pam Mathis, Nancy Cerny and Sharon Bartell.
Many of the artists will be at the free opening reception, which takes place on Saturday, March 10 from 6:30 to 8 p.m. The Harold L. Olmsted Gallery is located inside Springville Center for the Arts, 37 N. Buffalo Street, Springville, NY 14141. The gallery is open Wednesdays and Fridays from noon to 5 p.m. Thursdays from noon to 8 p.m. and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
