Allow yourself to be transported through time to River City, Iowa in the year 1912. Meredith Willson’s and MTI’s The Music Man Jr. follows the story of a fast talking traveling salesman, Harold Hill, as he cons the people of River City, Iowa. He convinces the citizens into buying instruments and uniforms for their children, despite the fact he doesn’t know the difference between a trombone and a treble clef! Marian Paroo, the town’s music teacher and librarian, is suspicious of Harold and tries to expose him as a fraud. Before Harold can skip town with the cash, Marian is convinced to change her mind about him. Will Harold get away once again or become a respectable citizen and win Miss Marian’s heart?
