While Kissing Bridge is best known for its winter activities, it’s quickly becoming a year-round destination, with numerous happenings in the upcoming weeks.
Friday, Sept. 15 is the last Harley Davidson Bike Night of the season, running from 6 to 10 p.m. Enjoy fire pits, contests, barbecue, the Jumpstart Harley experience and live music by DNR on Tap at 6 p.m.
On Sunday, Sept. 17, take part in the Emerling Jeep Trail Ride 2017. Ride over 47 miles of trails, with staggered start times starting at 9 a.m. Cost is $75 per vehicle (includes driver and one passenger; additional passengers are $10 each), but Jeeps purchased from Emerling ride free. Price includes lunch. For more info, visit www.facebook.com/emerlingdodge.
On Sept. 23, the Hesco Bonefrog hits the slopes. According to their website, “This obstacle race was created by Navy SEALS to challenge, build and inspire participants to become better athletes and recognize that they can do anything they set their minds to, while enjoying the camaraderie and teamwork usually reserved for active duty navy seals. With 50 Navy SEAL-style obstacles on courses that range from 3-11 miles, the course will test everyone and leave no one unscathed. We attempt to place an obstacle approximately every quarter mile (when venues permit), so your running ability alone will not carry the day.” For more info, visit www.bonefrogchallenge.com.
