Mark your calendar for Saturday, June 10 for Women in the Outdoors. These events are held across the country using experts and trained professionals to teach outdoor skills to women and girls over 12 years of age in a non-competitive environment.
This year, we are pleased to welcome new classes and instructors and are excited with the return of previously successful activities taught by dedicated, knowledgeable volunteers that will ensure a day of enjoyable activities. Our courses include Self Defense, Archery, Air Pistol, Kayaking, Shotgun, Emergency Preparedness, Edible Plants, Tomahawk Throwing and making wind chimes out of beach glass.
Trade in your “To-Do” list for a day for yourself…have fun, a few laughs, meet new people, and try new things. You’ll be surprised at what you’ll learn and how you’ve challenged yourself!
Registration deadline is June 1. $65 pre-registration fee includes all equipment use, all course instruction (four classes), continental breakfast, hot buffet lunch, great t-shirt, NWTF membership and a one year magazine subscription.
The event, presented by Springville Strutters Chapter of the National Wild Turkey Federation, will be held at the Erie County Conservation Society, located at 13319 Miller Avenue in Chaffee.
