If you are looking to pay homage to our military veterans, you don’t have to travel to Washington D.C. to see a notable monument that pays homage to those who have served. Veterans Memorial Grove in Sprague Brook Park is a moving tribute to all veterans.
Set close to a picturesque pond, the memorial includes a stone memorial honoring all branches of the military and prisoners of war still missing in action. The dedication on the memorial reads as follows: “Who they were, what they sacrificed and how much they loved each other.” The memorial is located near hiking paths, camp sites and picnic areas, providing space for people to relax and reflect about those who made the ultimate sacrifice.
