BUFFALO — Brett Russell and Jared Hecht teamed up to lead the Springville boys in distance events at the Buffalo State College indoor track meet, as both were part of the winning 4×800 meter and third-place 4×400 meter relay teams, along with Zach Peterman and Mike Evans. Russell took first place in the 3200 meters (10:12.19), while Hecht was victorious in the 1,600 meters (4:38.96). Charles DiGangi took first for the Griffins in the 300 meters (:40.17).

Nathan Myers was third in the 600 (1:37.85), Peterman was fourth in the 1,600 (4:49.09) and Evans took fourth in the 3,200 (11:25.50).

For the girls, Sonya Krezmien won the 1,500-meter run with a time of 5:10.6.

The relay team of Jamie Dickenson, Emily Schlemmer, Sonya Krezmien and Evelyn Smith won the 4×400 meter relay. Schlemmer finished third in the 55-meter hurdles, and the team of Schlemmer, Smith, Janay Ghani and Sydeny Wittmer took second in the 4×200 meter relay.

Ghani was fourth and qualified for sectionals in the 300 at :44.9. Schlemmer was sixth (:46.05).
Dickinson was second in the 600 (1:50.48).
