On the road Tuesday night, the Springville varsity girls basketball team opened on a 27-0 run and never looked back in defeating Tonawanda.
Springville defeated the Warriors 63-17. The win helps Springville (10-3) stay in contention for an ECIC Div IV championship and a top seed and the Class B-1 playoffs.
Ivette Lewandowski and Kenz Owens combined for seven three-pointers and each had 17 points on the night. Kelsey Zabawa was a force on the glass and added 13 points of her own.
Meg Rehrauer came off the bench and poured in 7 points to go along with several steals while Nyah Solly gave the team 4 points and a boost on defense. Bella Oakley had 3 points and Rachel O’Neal scored 2 to round out the scoring.
