Let’s face it—going to the dentist can be stressful for many people. But Joseph Rumfola, DDS hopes to make it a more positive and convenient experience by offering his expertise in a beautiful new facility right here in Springville.

Rumfola was the valedictorian of the SGI class of 1994 and the salutatorian of his graduating dental school class.

After completing his residency at the dental school, he returned home to open his own dental practice, where he has been since 2003.

While Rumfola recently moved his office, his patients should not have any trouble finding the new building. That’s because he moved into a newly-built space right next door at 396 Waverly Street. The dentist office was previously housed on the basement level of the neighboring insurance agency.

Rumfola said the move was something he knew he wanted to do from Day One. After remodeling his former space a couple times, he decided “it was time to move on.” Rumfola explored his options and decided the way to go was to purchase property right next door and construct his new office there.

“The new space is much nicer and double the size,” he said. The new building easily accommodates two hygienists at the same time, and has plenty of space for both Rumfola and Dr. Rick Redmin, who works two days a week when Rumfola is teaching at UB.

Rumfola also added that because of the basement location of his former office, some patients who were already dealing with the anxiety of going to the dentist also had to deal with feeling claustrophobic. “The new space is much more comfortable for our existing patients,” he noted.

Rumfola is currently accepting new patients, and invites existing and potential new patients to check out the new building during the Open House on Friday, June 16.

“We wanted to do (the open house) sooner, but were waiting for nicer weather,” Rumfola explained.

Stop in from 3:30 to 7 p.m. for tours of the building and light refreshments.
