The Springville Area Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce the distinguished winners who will be recognized at the 2019 Awards Gala early next month.

The award winners were chosen by the chamber’s Awards Gala Committee following nominations submitted by the general public.

The awardees are:

Business of the Year: Kistner Concrete;

Small Business of the Year: 49 Coffee House & Eatery;

Non-Profit of the Year: The Club of Springville;

Citizen of the Year: Bill Gugino;

Community Service Award: Springville Lions Club;

4-Under-40 Awards: Evan Emerling, Joe & Ashley Lowry and Jeremy Pyszczynski

The President’s Award, chosen exclusively by the Springville Area Chamber of Commerce, will be given to Jeanne Ellis and Dawn Wible for their years of volunteer work in the annual Oktoberfest event and their other community involvement.

The chamber invites the entire community to celebrate the accomplishments of the award winners at the annual Awards Gala, which will be held on Saturday, April 6 at St. Aloysius Parish Hall on Franklin Street.

The event begins with a social hour at 5 p.m. followed by a dinner catered by Julie’s Pizzeria & Restaurant at 6 p.m. Local resident Harry Scull Jr. will speak on moving away from Springville and coming back home, and the event will conclude with an awards presentation.

Tickets for the dinner are $30 each or 2 for $50 and are available at the chamber office inside the Lucy Bensley Center. Tables of 8 are available for $200.

Office hours at the chamber will be extended to accommodate ticket sales. The chamber will be open Mondays from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.; Tuesdays from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Wednesdays from 2 to 6 p.m. Ticket purchases can be made via cash, check or credit card.

The deadline to purchase tickets is noon on March 29.
