Tuesday, March 3 began another season for the Southern Tier Scholastic Youth Trap League.

Beginning with only two teams and the vision of its founder, Tom Kelly, the league has steadily grown to 33 teams in three New York counties and one Pennsylvania county. With the addition of the Pennsylvania Conference, the league now has four conferences: West, Central, East and the Pa. conference.

It is a fundamental, introductory league focusing on teaching absolute, 100% compliance to all aspects of safe firearms handling as well as teaching the basics of trap shooting.
