The Springville baseball team finished off one victory on Monday and earned another one later that night at Eden.
First, the Griffins resumed a suspended game from April 10 against Eden on Monday, and won 12-11 in the 11th inning. Then, Springville finished the doubleheader with a 6-4 win.
In the resumed game, the Griffins had 12 total hits in the game, including two each from Jarrett Wolf (double) and Austin Lux (double). Ty Dash also doubled for the Griffins. Wolf, Lux, Mike Sobota and Cody Wells had two RBI each.
Nick Emmick threw four scoreless innings in relief.
In game two, Austin Walker (double, two RBI) and Nick Emmick led SGI with two hits each. Collin Rice had a hit and two RBI.
Evan Elkins threw the first 11/3 innings, then Keaton Wnuk threw the next four, allowing two runs (one earned) on four hits with two strikeouts and two walks and earning the win. Sean Barry tossed the final 1⅔ innings, allowing two unearned runs on two hits.
Now 8-1 on the season, SGI was set to play Tonawanda on Wednesday, West Seneca West on Thursday and visit Holland on Friday.
