Senator Patrick M. Gallivan (R-C-I, Elma) attended graduation ceremonies Wednesday, July 24 for the 228 new members of the New York State Police.
Among the graduating class is Benjamin Grieser of Springville.
Gallivan, a former State Trooper and Sheriff of Erie County, was in Albany for the 208th session of the Basic School of the New York State Police Academy.
“I always look forward to attending the graduation ceremony for these brave men and women who have made a commitment to serve the residents of New York State,” Senator Gallivan said.  “After six months of intensive academic, physical and tactical training, these new Troopers are prepared to join one of the finest law enforcement agencies in the country.  I wish them a long and rewarding law enforcement career.”
The graduation ceremony was held at the Empire State Plaza Convention Hall in Albany.
