Springville Center for the Arts (SCA) has been named a finalist for Cultural Organization for the Year at the upcoming Spark Cultural Awards. Organized by Arts Services Initiative, the annual award ceremony recognizes artists and cultural organizations that have made an impact on Western New York. This year the awards will be held at the new Hotel Henry, situated within the historic Richardson Complex on Forest Avenue in Buffalo, on May 10 from 6-9 p.m. Past Spark awardees include Just Buffalo Literary Center, Tom Toles, Shasti O’Leary Soundant, and Buffalo Philharmonic.

“As someone who has been involved in the Center’s programs for years and now working here, I couldn’t be prouder of our community. This is a great opportunity to promote Springville to people from all over Western New York,” commented Liz Bligh, Arts Center Programming Director.

Other finalists this year include Rita Auerbach, Kenan Center, M&T Bank and others for their role in creating a vibrant cultural landscape in the area. More information and tickets can be purchased at asiwny.org.
