Judson Brown, a well-known retired art teacher whose work has been featured in American Artist magazine, will be teaching a watercolor class at Springville Center for the Arts. The class will cover beginning washes, design, materials, paper surfaces, concept generation, wet on wet, layers, dry brush and experimental applications. His instruction will focus on the basics, but all levels are welcome. The classes will be held at the newly renovated Vacanti Classroom at Springville Center for the Arts, 37 N Buffalo Street, Springville on March 18, 25, April 1 and 8 from 10 a.m. until noon. Students should bring any materials they already own. Material basics will be covered in the first class. The cost is $50 or $42 for members.
