Skiers and snowboarders get ready! November is here, which means the snow will soon be flying and the hills will (hopefully!) soon be covered with the white stuff. As winter is on the horizon, it’s time to get ready for the upcoming season and time to take inventory of your gear.
If you’re one of many looking to upgrade those skis or trade in those outgrown boots, head to Kissing Bridge Nov. 10-12 for their Fall Festival and Ski and Snowboard Swap weekend. The event runs Friday, noon to 9 p.m., Saturday 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and features tons of new and used gear for purchase.
As in years past, the event will center around KB’s Central area.
Other weekend highlights include the Big Air Bag (weather permitting), Phatman Boardshop Mucho Jib Jam, vendors and more. “We will have wood working, furriers, artisans, health care, general business, retail and home vendors, including MaryKay, LulaRoe, Tastefully Simple, Lipsense, Norwex, Pampered Chef, Paparazzi Jewelry, Essential Oils, Scentsy and several more,” said Carlee John of Kissing Bridge.
Cost to register new or used gear is $1, and KB staff takes care of the sales. (Twenty percent of each sale goes to KB Ski Patrol.)
Bring in eight non-perishable items for 20 percent off seasonal packages.
According to John, the resort is hiring for all departments for the upcoming season. Grab an application at the Ticket Center or download one at www.kbski.com.
