Recently Deborah Fenn and Gary Willert, Co Chairs of Erie Cattaraugus Rail Trail visited Springville to inspect Community supported additions to the Trail. The Little Library and the Western New York Southtowns Scenic Byway information sign have been placed at the trailhead on West Main Street in Springville.
The Little Library project was spearheaded by Kara Kane and funded by the a grant from the Springville GI Community Foundation.
The WNYSSB informational sign was funded by the a grant secured by Chair John Mills. Chairman Mills will be in Springville on Nov. 6, at 6 p.m. to officially introduce the new sign.
Mayor Bill Krebs said, “The trail improvements show broad support in the local community and in Erie County of Erie Cattaraugus Rail Trail. By investing in the Byway and the trial, the County recognizes the importance of tourism to Southern Erie County.”
